~Jio launches a special Anniversary Offer on JioBharat 4G phones at ₹1,499 with six months of complimentary recharge benefits, including 14GB monthly data and unlimited HD voice calling.
Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Oct 01 (VNI): Jio has launched a special Jio Anniversary Offer on JioBharat to mark 10 years of connecting India, offering millions of feature-phone users an affordable way to upgrade to 4G connectivity and access a wider range of digital services.
Under the limited-period festive offer, eligible JioBharat 4G phones are available at ₹1,499, along with six months of complimentary recharge benefits, including 14GB of data every month and unlimited HD voice calling, subject to applicable terms and conditions. The offer combines the JioBharat device with connectivity benefits to make digital services more accessible to feature-phone users.
The offer also highlights the potential savings for users currently relying on 2G feature phones. For many 2G users, monthly connectivity costs can be around ₹199, amounting to nearly ₹1,200 over six months. With the Jio Anniversary Offer, customers receive a 4G-enabled JioBharat phone along with six months of connectivity benefits for ₹1,499, effectively bringing the incremental cost of upgrading from a 2G device to ₹299.
Unlike conventional 2G feature phones primarily used for calling and messaging, JioBharat provides access to a broader digital ecosystem. Users can access 500+ TV channels through JioTV, live cricket, movies and entertainment on JioHotstar, as well as millions of songs and other music content.
The JioBharat ecosystem also supports UPI payments through JioPay, payment alerts and Sound Box functionality. For safety and family connectivity, the device offers Jio Safety Shield with safe-calling features and location-monitoring capabilities. The phone also comes with a 2.4-inch display, 2,000mAh battery and 4G connectivity, supporting a richer digital experience for users upgrading from 2G devices.
