Ahmedabad: August 23,Varmora Granito invests Pvt Ltd one of India’s leading tiles and bathware brands, has completed its mega expansion at Morbi, Gujarat, in record time. The company has invested over INR 400 crore in the two state-of-the-art high-tech plants with a combined capacity of 17 msm annually. With this expansion, the company has also launched the revolutionary Integrated Stone Technology (IST) for the first time in Asia.

Focusing on innovation, the new plants are poised to produce the market’s best designs, finishes, and sizes, offering our customers advanced and creative home decor solutions while reducing reliance on non-renewable resources. By prioritising sustainability, the company aims to create eco-friendly alternatives to conventional materials, contributing to a greener future. These plants have also created more than 600 new direct and indirect jobs.
Varmora Granito is ranked amongst India’s top tile and bathware brands, manufacturing a wide range of integrated stones(IST), wall and floor tiles, slabs, sanitaryware, bathware, and adhesive products. With 15 plants, the company’s production capacity has increased to 58 msm per annum. The company is servicing through more than 2275 outlets across India, with around 275 Exclusive brand outlets and other multi-brand outlets. Currently exporting to over 100 countries, the company plans to grow its global business network to over 125 countries in near future. For FY23, the company reported sales of Rs. 1,430 crore. In FY 2022-23, one of the world’s largest Global investment firms, Carlyle, acquired a significant minority stake in the company, further solidifying its positioning as one of the leading ceramic manufacturers in the industry.

The Indian Tile industry (including exports) was estimated at Rs. 62,000 crore in FY 2024. Gujarat is the hub of the tile industry in India, accounting for 90-95% of the total production. Exports in FY24 were around Rs. 20,000 crore.
