Ahmedabad, Sep 02, In collaboration with The Old RkCians Association, AMA launched the book “Global Tumult: India as a Pole Star” authored by His Excellency Sujan Chinoy (RkC Old Boy) who is a Former Ambassador of India to Japan and the Director General of Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (MP-IDSA) at AMA campus.
Rajiv Gandhi, Vice President of AMA and Managing Director & CEO of Hester Biosciences Ltd. and Aerotrans moderated the Book Launch Program. During the conversation, Author said that “The world is in tumult as a result of sharp differences over ideology and governance systems, territorial conflicts, military aggression, and the weaponization of trade and technology. Nonetheless, there is a ray of hope. India, in recent decades, has demonstrated a capacity and willingness to play a bigger role on the global stage. India’s successful G20 presidency drew upon its civilizational ethos of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family) to forge consensus. Its ethical and values-based approach provides an alternative future for humanity. Today, India has emerged as the fastest-growing large economy in the world. The goal of making India a developed nation—Viksit Bharat—by 2047 is within grasp. Surakshit Bharat (a secure and militarily resilient India) and an Atmanirbhar Bharat (a self-reliant India) are integral to India’s emergence as a beacon of progress in an era of instability. Against the backdrop of global chaos, there are green shoots of stability and progress as well.”
