Mumbai, Nov 05, MCX records turnover of Rs.9054.68 crores in Commodity Futures & Rs.31457.03 crores in Options.
According to a statement issued by MCX, Indias leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.40513.26 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 05 November 2024 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 9054.68 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 31457.03 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Nov-24 futures was reached at 19521 point.
Commodity Future Contracts: Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 5957.78 crores. GOLD Dec-24 contract was up by 0.07% to Rs. 78480 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Nov-24 contract was up by 0.15% to Rs. 63550 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Nov-24 contract was up by 0.06% to Rs. 7779 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Dec-24 contract was up by 0.08% to Rs. 78460 per 10 gram.
SILVER Dec-24 contract was up by 0.32% to Rs. 94583 per kg, while SILVERM Nov-24 contract was up by 0.39% to Rs. 94477 per kg and SILVERMIC Nov-24 contract was up by 0.33% to Rs. 94437 per kg.
Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2845.08 crores with volume of 3623 lots and OI of 17031 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1485.05 crores with volume of 5229 lots and OI of 27998 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 1741.71 crores. COPPER Nov-24 contract was up by 0.72% to Rs. 858.85 per kg and ZINC Nov-24 contract was up by 1.11% to Rs. 286.55 per kg while ALUMINIUM Nov-24 contract was up by 0.98% to Rs. 243.25 per kg and LEAD Nov-24 contract was up by 0.16% to Rs. 182.3 per kg.
Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1009.22 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 114.83 crores, Lead futures Rs. 33.79 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 411.66 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 1349.98 crores. CRUDEOIL Nov-24 contract was up by 0.15% to Rs. 6033 per BBL while NATURALGAS Nov-24 contract was down by 0.51% to Rs. 232.5 per MMBTU.
Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 372.21 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 781.04 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL Nov-24 contract was down by 0.11% to Rs. 929 per kg and COTTONCNDY Nov-24 contract was down by 0.07% to Rs. 55800 per candy.
Options on Commodity Future Contracts: Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 31457.03 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 722.5 crores.
Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.6000 was up by 2.27% to Rs. 203.00 with volume of 41965 lots & OI of 12395 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.6000 was down by 3.1% to Rs. 171.8 with volume of 39490 lots & OI of 10486 lots.
Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.240 was down by 4.98% to Rs. 10.50 with volume of 13582 lots & OI of 7195 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.230 was up by 5.42% to Rs. 12.65 with volume of 10557 lots & OI of 4415 lots.
Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.80000 was up by 1.95% to Rs. 600.00 with volume of 804 lots & OI of 533 lots, while Gold Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.78000 was down by 2.39% to Rs. 961 with volume of 636 lots & OI of 569 lots.
Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.100000 was up by 5.65% to Rs. 1159.50 with volume of 642 lots & OI of 2174 lots, while Silver Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.90000 was down by 6.56% to Rs. 983.5 with volume of 365 lots & OI of 1269 lots.
