Ahmedabad, Nov 21, Seminar organized to provide guidance/ direction to the students going to Canada for further studies held at Ahmedabad.
According to a press release issued by Addl. Secretary General, GCCI Rahul Sheth here today GCCI ( GUJARAT CHAMBER OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY)-NRG Centre, Ahmedabad along with Gujarat State NRG Foundation, Gandhinagar organized a seminar to provide guidance to the student going to Canada for further studies, about the changing rules by the Canadian Government.
Welcoming the participants, GCCI Hon. Secretary Gaurang Bhagat remarked that those students who are going to Canada for their further studies it is essential that they have necessary information about the present conditions at Canada. He remarked about the stressful situation between two nations and expressed confidence that the seminar organized by GCCI NRG Taskforce will prove to be very useful to the students.
GCCI – NRG Taskforce Chairman Himanshu Vyas had given introduction of GCCI Hon. Secretary Gaurang Bhagat, Main speakers Janak Nayak, Managing Director, NB Visa World Pvt Ltd and Ramesh Tanna, well known writer, journalist and social worker. He also felicitated these dignitaries. In his remarks he mentioned that this seminar is not about any political purpose hence there will not be any political discussion. Canadian Government has changed their rules regarding Canadian Visa and Canadian PR.
More over the purpose of the Seminar is also to provide information about visa related frauds that take place. He remarked that NB Visa World Private Limited should start a free call centre to provide guidance to the students and other Indians going to Canada.
Shri Jaykishan Jadvani, GCCI NRG Taskforce Committee Member had provided information about various activities that are being carried out to help NRG Indians.
Shri Janak Nayak, Managing Director, NB Visa World Private Limited had provided detailed information about Canadian Visa policy and related issues for the Indian students going to Canada for further studies. This information covered various aspects like Intake Cap, Work Permit, Expenditure to be incurred to live in Canada, Student Direct Stream, Various formalities for Visa, Working hours permitted to Canadian Students as well as different, varied rules in different provinces of Canada.
In his address to the participants Shri Ramesh Tanna, Writer, Journalist and Social Worker mentioned that the overseas students have been facing many difficulties because of changing rules as well as political issues. He remarked about the incidents of students losing their job or not getting jobs and facing economic issues resulting into mental depression. He remarked that the seminar will be useful to students to avoid such problems and difficulties.
The seminar concluded after vote of thanks proposed by Shri Jayesh Parikh, Member, NRG Taskforce.
