Ahmedabad, Gujarat, July 30 (VNI): The Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Installation Ceremony for the 2026–27 term on Thursday at Golden Glory Hall, Karnavati Club, Ahmedabad. Rajesh Gandhi formally assumed office as the President of GCCI, with Jigish Doshi taking charge as Senior Vice President and Hiten Vasant as Vice President. The newly elected Executive Committee members were also announced during the event.
During the Installation Ceremony, Immediate Past President Sandeep Engineer highlighted the Chamber’s achievements during his tenure and thanked members for their support in advancing GCCI’s initiatives. Senior Vice President Jigish Doshi expressed gratitude to members for their confidence and outlined his vision of strengthening industry representation, particularly for MSMEs and large enterprises, promoting policy reforms, improving Ease of Doing Business, and enhancing Gujarat’s industrial competitiveness.
Addressing the gathering after assuming office, President Rajesh Gandhi thanked members for their trust and presented his vision for a stronger, future-ready GCCI. He praised Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel’s leadership in driving Gujarat’s industrial growth and reaffirmed GCCI’s commitment to supporting the Government of Gujarat and the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2027. He also announced the formation of new committees on Artificial Intelligence, Sports, and Infrastructure to strengthen industry-government collaboration and promote innovation and sustainable economic development.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest and congratulated the newly elected office bearers. He appreciated the contributions of Immediate Past President Sandeep Engineer and highlighted Gujarat’s emergence as India’s leading investment destination under progressive governance and investor-friendly policies. The Chief Minister encouraged industries, especially MSMEs, to take advantage of the Gujarat Industrial Policy 2026 and reaffirmed the State Government’s commitment to supporting businesses, innovation, and industrial growth.
Vice President Hiten Vasant delivered the vote of thanks, emphasizing the importance of the transport and logistics sector in supporting manufacturing, exports, and trade.
