Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Oct 26 (VNI): The Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA), in association with the Ashank Desai Centre for Leadership and Organisational Development (ADCLOD) at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA), hosted an exclusive leadership session on “Microhabits for Leaders,” focusing on the role of small, consistent behavioural practices in strengthening leadership effectiveness and driving organisational growth.
Prof. Neharika Vohra of IIMA delivered the welcome address, while Prof. Alan D’Souza, Academic Advisor at AMA, introduced the theme of the session. Dr. Raghu Krishnamoorthy, Former Director of the Penn Chief Learning Officer Program at the University of Pennsylvania and Senior Fellow in the Policy, Organizations, Leadership, and Systems Division, led the leadership session.
Highlighting the growing importance of everyday leadership practices in modern organisations, Dr. Krishnamoorthy explained how microhabits—small, intentional behavioural adjustments—can create a meaningful and lasting impact on leadership effectiveness. He shared insights into how leaders can use these practices to improve decision-making, encourage positive behavioural change, strengthen team culture and support systematic organisational development.
The session emphasised that sustainable leadership growth does not always require sweeping organisational changes. Instead, small and consistent actions, when practised over time, can help leaders build stronger teams, improve workplace interactions and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
The programme brought together corporate leaders, faculty members, students and industry professionals, providing a platform to explore practical leadership approaches and understand how microhabits can contribute to individual effectiveness and long-term organisational success.
