Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Oct 03, Dr. Jignesh Shah, new President of Ahmedabad Medical Association (AMA) said today, This year’s theme, “Beyond Scalpel and Stethoscope”, highlights AMA’s mission to extend its role beyond clinical care to education, social service, professional empowerment, and community partnership.
Dr Shah said, “With AMA’s rich legacy, we aim to rebuild trust in the doctor- patient relationship, empower our fraternity, and serve society with compassion and integrity.”
He said, Key Initiatives Planned for 2025–26: Public Health Awareness: Organ donation advocacy, CPR training, preventive health camps, Digital Growth: Launch of the AMA Mobile App for members’ communication and event registrations, Scientific Excellence: Hosting NATCON 2025 and AMACON 2026, CME programs, and hands-on workshops, Professional Empowerment: Financial literacy, mentorship for young doctors, leadership development, Fraternity & Wellness: Cultural celebrations, sports events, and family activities.
Dr. Maulik Sheth, Honorary Secretary, added: “Our focus this year will be on unity, innovation, and service. Together, we will strengthen both the medical community and our bond with society.”
With over a century of heritage and a strong membership base, AMA continues to be a trusted pillar of healthcare in Ahmedabad.
The Ahmedabad Medical Association (AMA), one of India’s oldest and largest medical associations, founded in 1902 and representing over 12,500 doctors proudly announced the installation of its new leadership team at a grand ceremony held recently.
The new leadership, under President Dr. Jignesh Shah and Honorary Secretary Dr. Maulik Sheth, was installed in the distinguished presence of Chief Guest Dr. Sandip Shah, Guest of Honor Dr. Bharat Dave, Distinguished Guest Dr. Anil Nayak, Installation Officer Dr. Bipin Patel.
