Anand, Gujarat, Apr 21, Amul, India’s iconic food and dairy brand, marks the fifth anniversary of Simplehomemaderecipes, the world’s longest-running live cooking show.
According to a press release issued by Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (Amul) today, It started in April 2020 as a response to the COVID-19 lockdown has grown into a global culinary movement, offering chefs and home cooks a platform to share their skills, stories, and recipes with a vast audience worldwide.
This series has featured over 4,000 chefs including Michelin Star Chefs and Mr. Thomas A. Gugler, Former President, Worldchefs and home cooks from more than 50 countries, making it a true celebration of culinary diversity. With over 10,000 live episodes over more than 1830 days, Simplehomemaderecipes has reached 5 billion viewers both in India and across the world through its social media platforms. The initiative has generated over 4.5 lakh minutes of curated content in five languages, with a remarkable 540 million minutes of viewership — illustrating the series’ widespread appeal and impact.
Through this initiative, Amul’s customers have discovered 6,170 recipes made with Amul Paneer, 5,420 delicacies with Amul Butter, 5,030 dishes with Amul Fresh Cream and 5,010 treats with Amul Milk on our Facebook page and YouTube channel to make delicious and nutritious delicacies at home with Amul’s range of products.
This milestone is even more meaningful as it comes during the International Year of Cooperatives, a global celebration of the cooperative movement’s contribution to inclusive growth and community empowerment. As the world’s largest farmer owned dairy cooperative, Amul’s leadership in launching and sustaining a community-driven platform like Simplehomemaderecipes reflects its core values — fostering collaboration, amplifying voices, and helping communities thrive.
