Gandhinagar, Gujarat, March 10, The Indian Institute of Teacher Education (IITE), Gandhinagar organized a CAWACH Cyber Awareness Programme to promote awareness about cyber security and cyber safety among students and faculty members.
The programme was graced by Vice-Chancellor Dr. Mukeshbhai Patel as Chief Guest and was presided over by Prof. Jayna Joshi, Director, COE. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Dipak K. Chaudhari.
The expert lecture was delivered by Chirag Agrawal, Cyber Security Expert at Tata Consultancy Services (Gandhinagar) and a volunteer with Gujarat Police – CID Cyber Crime. With more than 11 years of professional experience, he shared valuable insights on cybercrime trends, common online frauds, and practical measures to stay safe in the digital environment.
During the session, Mr. Agrawal explained various modus operandi, tricks, and tactics used by cyber criminals and emphasized the importance of cyber awareness and responsible digital behavior. The session aimed to encourage citizens to adopt proactive measures to protect themselves from cyber threats.
The programme concluded with an interactive question–answer session, where participants clarified their doubts and shared feedback. The initiative contributed significantly to spreading awareness and promoting a safe and secure digital environment among the academic community.
