Gandhinagar, Sep 17 , under the guidance of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel cleanliness drive will extend in the state from September 17 to October 31, the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel.
The Chief Minister has urged for a mass movement of cleanliness, involving public participation in both urban and rural areas of the state as part of this cleanliness drive. To further promote the campaign in high-traffic and commercial areas of towns and cities, Ratri Safai Abhiyan (After-hours sanitation) has been initiated. Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel took part in the After-hours cleaning of the Sector-7 vegetable market and shopping centre in the Gandhinagar on the first day of the Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 Abhiyan. He also distributed cheques worth ₹10,000 each and a nutritious food ration kit to five outstanding sanitation workers.
MLA of Gandhinagar Smt. Ritaben Patel, Mayor Smt. Miraben Patel, officials from various Municipal Corporation committees, Principal Secretary of Urban Development Ashwini Kumar, and Municipal Commissioner Vaghela actively participated in the cleaning campaign.

Nationwide ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ Abhiyan, Inspired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, with Themes of ‘Swabhav-Swachhata’ and ‘Sanskaar-Swachhata,’ Begins on September 17 and Runs Until October 2.
