Ahmedabad, Nov 01, Diwali Emergencies Update, On 31st October, during Diwali, a total of 4,889 emergencies were received, compared to 4,504 on regular days, marking an 8.55% increase.
According to 108 Emergency Response Service sources Burn-related emergencies totaled 38, with the highest numbers from Ahmedabad, Surat, and Bharuch, reporting 8, 6, and 5 cases, respectively.
Road accidents saw a significant rise, with 921 cases compared to the usual 481, an increase of 91.48%.
Physical assault emergencies reached 323, up from the typical 144 cases, a surge of 124.31%.
The districts with the highest overall percentage increase in emergencies included Anand, Aravalli, Bharuch, Botad, Dahod, Mahisagar, Morbi, Panchmahal, Porbandar, The Dangs, and Valsad.
In contrast, Ahmedabad reported a decrease in overall emergencies, with 889 cases on Diwali compared to the usual 940, reflecting a decrease of 5.43%. However:
Road accidents in Ahmedabad increased by 45.56%, with 131 cases versus the usual 90.
Physical assault emergencies in Ahmedabad rose by 120%, with 77 cases compared to the usual 35.
