~GCCI celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day with a flag-hoisting ceremony in Ahmedabad, reaffirming its commitment to Gujarat’s business community and India’s economic growth.
Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Aug 15 (VNI): Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) commemorated India’s 80th Independence Day with a flag-hoisting ceremony at its office premises on August 15, 2026.
Speaking on the occasion, GCCI President Rajesh Gandhi paid tribute to the freedom fighters and highlighted the collective responsibility of the business community in building a strong, resilient and globally competitive India. He emphasised the role of industry and entrepreneurship in driving innovation, generating employment, fostering skill development and strengthening India’s domestic capabilities while enhancing global competitiveness.
Gandhi called for greater collaboration among industry, government and other stakeholders to accelerate inclusive and sustainable economic growth. He also reaffirmed GCCI’s commitment to supporting Gujarat’s business and industrial community and contributing to the vision of a stronger, self-reliant and prosperous India.
The ceremony was attended by GCCI Vice President Hiten Vasant, Hon. Secretary Navroz Tarapore, Hon. Treasurer Dhruvil Patel, Executive Committee Members, members and invitees. School children also participated in the flag-hoisting ceremony, adding a special sense of patriotism to the celebrations. Representatives of the business community came together to mark the occasion and honour the nation.
