Mumbai, Maharashtra, Feb 19, GOLD April futures at fresh all-time high on MCX.
According to MCX DAILY MARKET REPORT today, India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.75347.68 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 19 February 2025 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 12852.21 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 62494.02 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Feb-25 futures was reached at 20707 point.
Commodity Future Contracts: Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 8725.97 crores. GOLD Apr-25 contract was up by 0.36% to Rs. 86425 per 10 gram. GOLD Apr-25 contract has hit fresh all-time high of Rs.86592. GOLDGUINEA Feb-25 contract was up by 0.6% to Rs. 69910 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Feb-25 contract was up by 1.12% to Rs. 8743 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Mar-25 contract was up by 0.49% to Rs. 86162 per 10 gram.
SILVER Mar-25 contract was up by 0.57% to Rs. 97397 per kg, while SILVERM Feb-25 contract was up by 0.61% to Rs. 97150 per kg and SILVERMIC Feb-25 contract was up by 0.6% to Rs. 97125 per kg.
Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 4121.28 crores with volume of 4775 lots and OI of 17799 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1596.07 crores with volume of 5459 lots and OI of 27685 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 1436.39 crores. COPPER Feb-25 contract was up by 0.54% to Rs. 873 per kg and ZINC Feb-25 contract was up by 0.02% to Rs. 270.15 per kg while ALUMINIUM Feb-25 contract was up by 0.71% to Rs. 263.8 per kg and LEAD Feb-25 contract was up by 0.03% to Rs. 179.8 per kg.
Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 857.24 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 232.49 crores, Lead futures Rs. 14.32 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 198.87 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 2854.11 crores. CRUDEOIL Feb-25 contract was up by 1.24% to Rs. 6310 per BBL while NATURALGAS Feb-25 contract was up by 4.37% to Rs. 353.8 per MMBTU.
Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 328.62 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 2112.77 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL Feb-25 contract was up by 0.01% to Rs. 925 per kg and COTTONCNDY Mar-25 contract was up by 0.29% to Rs. 54530 per candy.
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 62494.02 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 807.07 crores.
Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6300 was up by 20.19% to Rs. 178.60 with volume of 27027 lots & OI of 6348 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6300 was down by 19.88% to Rs. 166 with volume of 28097 lots & OI of 8409 lots.
Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.350 was up by 118.87% to Rs. 11.60 with volume of 46370 lots & OI of 4697 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.350 was down by 33.21% to Rs. 9.15 with volume of 29663 lots & OI of 4707 lots.
Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.87000 was up by 29.24% to Rs. 552.50 with volume of 1819 lots & OI of 741 lots, while Gold Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.85000 was down by 21.62% to Rs. 310 with volume of 1924 lots & OI of 1382 lots.
Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.96000 was up by 17.76% to Rs. 1929.50 with volume of 1649 lots & OI of 664 lots, while Silver Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.96000 was down by 31.1% to Rs. 571.5 with volume of 2045 lots & OI of 644 lots.
