Mumbai, Maharashtra, Mar 11, GOLD futures jumps by 0.69% and SILVER futures jumps by 1.18%, while CRUDEOIL futures gains by 1.02% on MCX.
According to MCX DAILY MARKET REPORT today, India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.77571.3 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 11 March 2025 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 13390.62 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 64180.28 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Mar-25 futures was reached at 20503.
Commodity Future Contracts: Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 8474.85 crores. GOLD Apr-25 contract was up by 0.69% to Rs. 86008 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Mar-25 contract was up by 0.37% to Rs. 69785 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Mar-25 contract was up by 0.33% to Rs. 8748 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Apr-25 contract was up by 0.6% to Rs. 85970 per 10 gram.
SILVER May-25 contract was up by 1.18% to Rs. 97608 per kg, while SILVERM Apr-25 contract was up by 1.08% to Rs. 97566 per kg and SILVERMIC Apr-25 contract was up by 1.06% to Rs. 97561 per kg.
Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 4459.85 crores with volume of 5187 lots and OI of 18956 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1809.92 crores with volume of 6200 lots and OI of 20237 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 2109.93 crores. COPPER Mar-25 contract was up by 1.28% to Rs. 887.3 per kg and ZINC Mar-25 contract was up by 1.34% to Rs. 275.15 per kg while ALUMINIUM Mar-25 contract was up by 0.28% to Rs. 265.5 per kg and LEAD Mar-25 without any changes 182.55 per kg.
Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1497.84 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 138.97 crores, Lead futures Rs. 39.33 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 324.58 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 2804.88 crores. CRUDEOIL Mar-25 contract was up by 1.02% to Rs. 5837 per BBL while NATURALGAS Mar-25 contract was up by 0.2% to Rs. 395 per MMBTU.
Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 306.29 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 2040.82 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL Mar-25 contract was down by 0.09% to Rs. 929 per kg and COTTONCNDY Mar-25 contract was down by 0.55% to Rs. 52600 per candy.
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 64180.28 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 1039.03 crores.
Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.5800 was up by 18.92% to Rs. 112.50 with volume of 88796 lots & OI of 15554 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.5800 was down by 30.82% to Rs. 79.9 with volume of 64374 lots & OI of 15438 lots.
Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option contract at Strike price of with volume of lots & OI of lots, while Natural Gas Put Option contract at Strike price of with volume of lots & OI of lots.
Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.86000 was up by 33.5% to Rs. 1042.00 with volume of 1692 lots & OI of 586 lots, while Gold Put Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.85000 was down by 27.22% to Rs. 615 with volume of 1685 lots & OI of 882 lots.
Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Apr-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.98000 was up by 23.3% to Rs. 2900.00 with volume of 456 lots & OI of 347 lots, while Silver Put Option Apr-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.97000 was down by 14.7% to Rs. 2770 with volume of 325 lots & OI of 235 lots.
