~MCXBULLDEX futures reaches at 22115: MCX records turnover of Rs.17657.64 crores in Commodity Futures & Rs.57980.66 crores in Options
Mumbai, Maharashtra, May 06, GOLD futures jumps by Rs.2011 and SILVER futures jumps by Rs.1978, while CRUDEOIL futures gains by Rs.114 on MCX.
According to MCX DAILY MARKET REPORT today, India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.75639.82 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on Tuesday, May 06, 2025 till 4:30 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 17657.64 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 57980.66 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX May-25 futures was reached at 22115.
Commodity Future Contracts: Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of GOLD and SILVER futures variants clocked Rs. 15014.68 crores. At the time of writing, MCX GOLD futures, with June-2025 expiry contract was up by Rs.2011 or 2.12% to Rs. 96660 per 10 gram, GOLDTEN May-2025 contract was up by Rs.1876 or 1.98% to Rs. 96670 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA May-2025 contract was up by Rs.1408 or 1.85% to Rs. 77495 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL May-2025 contract was up by Rs.167 or 1.75% to Rs. 9721 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM June-2025 contract was up by Rs.1953 or 2.06% to Rs. 96620 per 10 gram.
SILVER futures, with July expiry contract was up by Rs.1978 or 2.09% to Rs. 96402 per kg, while SILVERM June-2025 contract was up by Rs.1897 or 2.01% to Rs. 96422 per kg and SILVERMIC June-2025 contract was up by Rs.1917 or 2.03% to Rs. 96446 per kg.
GOLD futures clocked turnover of Rs. 7819.34 crores with volume of 8114 lots and OI of 19022 lots while SILVER futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2476.40 crores with volume of 8546 lots and OI of 17983 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal futures products accounted for Rs. 1160.31 crores. COPPER May-2025 contract was up by Rs.2.25 or 0.27% to Rs. 844.75 per kg and ZINC May-2025 contract was up by Rs.1.1 or 0.45% to Rs. 246.9 per kg while ALUMINIUM May-2025 contract was down by Rs.0.75 or 0.32% to Rs. 231.65 per kg and LEAD May-2025 contract was down by Rs.0.65 or 0.37% to Rs. 176.25 per kg.
COPPER futures clocked turnover of Rs. 628.80 crores, ALUMINIUM futures Rs. 132.55 crores, LEAD futures Rs. 52.46 crores, and ZINC futures clocked turnover of Rs. 239.30 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy futures products contributed for Rs. 1496.58 crores. CRUDEOIL May-2025 contract was up by Rs.114 or 2.36% to Rs. 4946 per BBL while NATURALGAS May-2025 contract was up by Rs.3.8 or 1.27% to Rs. 303.8 per MMBTU.
CRUDE OIL futures clocked turnover of Rs. 628.30 crores and NATURAL GAS futures Rs. 637.54 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL May-2025 contract was up by Rs.6 or 0.66% to Rs. 915 per kg and COTTONCNDY May-2025 contract was up by Rs.350 or 0.65% to Rs. 54500 per candy.
Options on Commodity Future Contracts: Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 57980.66 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 1012.53 crores.
CRUDE OIL Options: Most traded contracts among CRUDE OIL Options were Call Option May contract at Strike price of Rs.5000 was up by Rs.28.4 or 38.48% to Rs. 102.20 with volume of 64366 lots & OI of 17187 lots, while CRUDE OIL Put Option May-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.4900 was down by Rs.70.2 or 39.8% to Rs. 106.2 with volume of 56099 lots & OI of 7611 lots.
NATURAL GAS Options: Most traded contracts among NATURAL GAS Options were Call Option May contract at Strike price of Rs.310 was up by Rs.1.15 or 8.1% to Rs. 15.35 with volume of 8370 lots & OI of 3645 lots, while NATURAL GAS Put Option May-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.300 was down by Rs.1.75 or 9.54% to Rs. 16.6 with volume of 8567 lots & OI of 4514 lots.
GOLD Options: Most traded contracts among GOLD Options were Call Option May-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.100000 was up by Rs.346 or 72.08% to Rs. 826 with volume of 1283 lots & OI of 492 lots, while GOLD Put Option May-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.92000 was down by Rs.378 or 47.13% to Rs. 424 with volume of 1236 lots & OI of 669 lots.
SILVER Options: Most traded contracts among SILVER Options were Call Option June contract at Strike price of Rs.95000 was up by Rs.1082.5 or 36.54% to Rs. 4045 with volume of 850 lots & OI of 309 lots, while SILVER Put Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.95000 was down by Rs.938 or 26.86% to Rs. 2554 with volume of 498 lots & OI of 494 lots.
