Gujarat has set a new record in GST revenue collection, driven by robust economic activities, including increased domestic consumption and production, along with industry-friendly policies, rapid improvements in the ease of doing business, and an efficient tax collection mechanism. This reflects Gujarat’s unwavering commitment to advancing towards the vision of Viksit Bharat.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s Government Pioneered the GST Implementation: It is important to note that the Goods and Services Tax (GST) was introduced on July 1, 2017, by the central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, to streamline India’s tax system.
