Ahmedabad, Aug 17, The Inaugural ceremony of orientation program for students of Foreign Languages ​​Department of Gujarat University (GU) held here.
Dr. Neelam Panchal said today that GU proudly announces the successful inauguration and orientation of its new Department of Foreign Languages, a significant addition to the university’s academic offerings.
The event, held on Friday at School of International Studies and Diaspora , was a resounding success with the presence and Inaugural Special Address of Vice Chancellor Dr. Neerja A Gupta , Dr Vidya Rao(member of the Board of Management), Dr Nilam Panchal – Coordinator and faculty members, research scholars, and a vibrant cohort of 57 students who have enrolled for the foreign language courses.
The initiative of University for teaching foreign languages showcased the university’s dedication to foster global communication and cultural exchange and to meet the industry demands. The Department of Foreign Languages will offer an innovative curriculum featuring four courses of Graduate, Post Graduate, PG Diploma and Certificate Levels in five different languages: Spanish, German, French, Chinese , and Japanese.
This diverse linguistic offering is designed to equip students with the skills necessary to navigate and thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.
The inauguration event highlighted the university’s commitment to academic excellence and internationalisation.
Vice Chancellor GU In her address remarked ‘ The establishment of the Department of Foreign Languages marks a transformative step in our pursuit of educational excellence. The day also featured presentations from faculty members who are appointed especially to teach foreign languages who provided insights into the curriculum, research opportunities and the broader impact of multilingual education in future. All the students thanked the University for the initiative.
