Mumbai, Maharashtra, Jan 14, MCX CRUDEOIL futures drops by 0.77%: Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Jan-25 futures reaches at 18998 point.
According to MCX DAILY MARKET REPORT TODAY, India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.162231.73 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 14 January 2025 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 10340.93 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 151890.14 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Jan-25 futures was reached at 18998 point.
Commodity Future Contracts: Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 4952.16 crores. GOLD Feb-25 contract was up by 0.06% to Rs. 78209 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Jan-25 contract was up by 0.13% to Rs. 63059 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Jan-25 contract was up by 0.08% to Rs. 7770 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Feb-25 contract was up by 0.08% to Rs. 78225 per 10 gram.
SILVER Mar-25 contract was up by 0.02% to Rs. 90530 per kg, while SILVERM Feb-25 contract was up by 0.03% to Rs. 90582 per kg and SILVERMIC Feb-25 contract was up by 0.02% to Rs. 90580 per kg.
Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2147.94 crores with volume of 2736 lots and OI of 16134 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1200.86 crores with volume of 4423 lots and OI of 24769 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 1158.00 crores. COPPER Jan-25 contract was up by 0.16% to Rs. 829.55 per kg and ZINC Jan-25 contract was up by 0.18% to Rs. 273.55 per kg while ALUMINIUM Jan-25 contract was up by 0.22% to Rs. 246.75 per kg and LEAD Jan-25 contract was down by 0.03% to Rs. 177.15 per kg.
Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 611.83 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 183.07 crores, Lead futures Rs. 12.58 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 246.23 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 4235.98 crores. CRUDEOIL Jan-25 contract was down by 0.77% to Rs. 6809 per BBL while NATURALGAS Jan-25 contract was down by 2.58% to Rs. 328 per MMBTU.
Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 816.37 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 2810.11 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL Jan-25 contract was up by 0.11% to Rs. 926 per kg and COTTONCNDY Jan-25 contract was down by 0.27% to Rs. 54500 per candy.
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 151890.14 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 1765.71 crores.
Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Jan-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6800 was down by 30.65% to Rs. 80.10 with volume of 238245 lots & OI of 14674 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Jan-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6800 was up by 30.57% to Rs. 75.6 with volume of 230603 lots & OI of 13599 lots.
Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Jan-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.340 was down by 25.93% to Rs. 15.85 with volume of 17120 lots & OI of 3376 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Jan-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.330 was up by 12.77% to Rs. 21.2 with volume of 16500 lots & OI of 3171 lots.
Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Jan-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.79000 was up by 7% to Rs. 550.00 with volume of 1026 lots & OI of 569 lots, while Gold Put Option Jan-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.78000 was down by 0.87% to Rs. 744.5 with volume of 954 lots & OI of 495 lots.
Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.90000 was up by 0.08% to Rs. 3040.00 with volume of 589 lots & OI of 881 lots, while Silver Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.90000 was down by 1.36% to Rs. 2470 with volume of 379 lots & OI of 896 lots.
