Mumbai, Dec 03, MCX, GOLD futures drops by 0.02%, while SILVER futures gains by 1.13%: CRUDEOIL futures gains by 1.09%.
According to MCX DAILY MARKET REPORT India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.51767.34 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 03 December 2024 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 9762.97 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 42003.05 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Dec-24 futures was reached at 18842 point.
Commodity Future Contracts: Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 6102.79 crores. GOLD Dec-24 contract was down by 0.02% to Rs. 76065 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Dec-24 contract was up by 0.23% to Rs. 61904 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Dec-24 contract was up by 0.16% to Rs. 7695 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Dec-24 contract was up by 0.26% to Rs. 76013 per 10 gram.
SILVER Dec-24 contract was up by 1.13% to Rs. 89700 per kg, while SILVERM Feb-25 contract was up by 1.13% to Rs. 91911 per kg and SILVERMIC Feb-25 contract was up by 1.13% to Rs. 91928 per kg.
Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1832.77 crores with volume of 2384 lots and OI of 13063 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2148.60 crores with volume of 7799 lots and OI of 26132 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 1826.93 crores. COPPER Dec-24 contract was up by 0.96% to Rs. 817.55 per kg and ZINC Dec-24 contract was up by 0.19% to Rs. 286.2 per kg while ALUMINIUM Dec-24 contract was up by 0.39% to Rs. 243.6 per kg and LEAD Dec-24 contract was down by 0.22% to Rs. 181.75 per kg.
Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1083.70 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 202.69 crores, Lead futures Rs. 25.43 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 347.42 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 1830.34 crores. CRUDEOIL Dec-24 contract was up by 1.09% to Rs. 5842 per BBL while NATURALGAS Dec-24 contract was down by 1.86% to Rs. 268.5 per MMBTU.
Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 512.57 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 1075.76 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL Dec-24 contract was up by 0.1% to Rs. 930 per kg and COTTONCNDY Jan-25 contract was down by 0.09% to Rs. 55500 per candy.
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 42003.05 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 833.69 crores.
Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Dec-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.5800 was up by 21.43% to Rs. 163.20 with volume of 71974 lots & OI of 18950 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Dec-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.5800 was down by 22.11% to Rs. 120.5 with volume of 64761 lots & OI of 19740 lots.
Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Dec-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.270 was down by 11.53% to Rs. 17.65 with volume of 10691 lots & OI of 4423 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Dec-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.270 was up by 14.59% to Rs. 18.85 with volume of 10128 lots & OI of 4553 lots.
Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Dec-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.80000 was up by 3.38% to Rs. 245.00 with volume of 639 lots & OI of 592 lots, while Gold Put Option Dec-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.76000 was down by 2.73% to Rs. 785 with volume of 490 lots & OI of 637 lots.
Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.90000 was up by 15.99% to Rs. 4740.00 with volume of 316 lots & OI of 627 lots, while Silver Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.90000 was down by 13.38% to Rs. 2849 with volume of 310 lots & OI of 523 lots.
