Mumbai, Maharashtra, Jan 23, MCX GOLD futures drops by 0.04% and SILVER futures drops by 0.65%, while CRUDEOIL futures drops by 0.12%
According to MCX DAILY MARKET REPORT today, India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.72765.86 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 23 January 2025 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 10286.33 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 62478.85 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Jan-25 futures was reached at 19230 point.
Commodity Future Contracts: Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 6555.04 crores. GOLD Feb-25 contract was down by 0.04% to Rs. 79530 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Jan-25 contract was down by 0.04% to Rs. 63690 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Jan-25 contract was up by 0.08% to Rs. 7888 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Feb-25 contract was down by 0.04% to Rs. 79501 per 10 gram.
SILVER Mar-25 contract was down by 0.65% to Rs. 91346 per kg, while SILVERM Feb-25 contract was down by 0.61% to Rs. 91379 per kg and SILVERMIC Feb-25 contract was down by 0.58% to Rs. 91372 per kg.
Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 3551.62 crores with volume of 4455 lots and OI of 18179 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1045.79 crores with volume of 3805 lots and OI of 24385 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 1477.26 crores. COPPER Jan-25 contract was down by 0.06% to Rs. 830.7 per kg and ZINC Jan-25 contract was down by 1.38% to Rs. 271.35 per kg while ALUMINIUM Jan-25 contract was down by 1.18% to Rs. 252.25 per kg and LEAD Jan-25 contract was up by 0.08% to Rs. 178.1 per kg.
Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 712.08 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 202.63 crores, Lead futures Rs. 69.73 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 351.36 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 2266.65 crores. CRUDEOIL Feb-25 contract was down by 0.12% to Rs. 6553 per BBL while NATURALGAS Jan-25 contract was up by 1.65% to Rs. 345.6 per MMBTU.
Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 300.34 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 1590.32 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL Jan-25 contract was down by 0.09% to Rs. 918 per kg and COTTONCNDY Jan-25 contract was down by 0.15% to Rs. 53370 per candy.
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 62478.85 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 961.12 crores.
Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6600 was down by 3.41% to Rs. 183.90 with volume of 33489 lots & OI of 7182 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6500 was down by 1.88% to Rs. 172.3 with volume of 44118 lots & OI of 12417 lots.
Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Jan-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.350 was up by 46% to Rs. 7.30 with volume of 45345 lots & OI of 8344 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Jan-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.340 was down by 34.29% to Rs. 5.75 with volume of 48326 lots & OI of 7891 lots.
Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Jan-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.80000 was down by 15.02% to Rs. 198.00 with volume of 2663 lots & OI of 829 lots, while Gold Put Option Jan-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.79000 was down by 7.12% to Rs. 176 with volume of 3485 lots & OI of 1584 lots.
Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.92000 was down by 11.5% to Rs. 2425.00 with volume of 545 lots & OI of 833 lots, while Silver Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.90000 was up by 11.11% to Rs. 1944.5 with volume of 393 lots & OI of 907 lots.
