Mumbai, Oct 28, MCX CRUDEOIL futures drops by 5.6%, while GOLD futures drops by 0.4% and SILVER futures drops by 0.69%.
According to a statement issued by MCX DAILY MARKET today Indias leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.59615.34 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 28 October 2024 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 11600.08 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 48015.07 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Nov-24 futures was reached at 19550 point.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 7368.55 crores. GOLD Dec-24 contract was down by 0.4% to Rs. 78216 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Oct-24 contract was up by 1.09% to Rs. 63485 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Oct-24 contract was up by 0.7% to Rs. 7731 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Oct-24 contract was down by 0.21% to Rs. 77845 per 10 gram.
SILVER Dec-24 contract was down by 0.69% to Rs. 96467 per kg, while SILVERM Nov-24 contract was down by 0.7% to Rs. 96275 per kg and SILVERMIC Nov-24 contract was down by 0.7% to Rs. 96290 per kg.
Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2588.89 crores with volume of 3304 lots and OI of 18093 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2364.90 crores with volume of 8156 lots and OI of 25447 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 1547.49 crores. COPPER Oct-24 contract was up by 0.82% to Rs. 796.5 per kg and ZINC Oct-24 contract was down by 0.64% to Rs. 286.1 per kg while ALUMINIUM Oct-24 contract was down by 0.29% to Rs. 240 per kg and LEAD Oct-24 without any changes 178.3 per kg.
Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 737.81 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 200.46 crores, Lead futures Rs. 48.14 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 396.08 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 2678.40 crores. CRUDEOIL Nov-24 contract was down by 5.6% to Rs. 5702 per BBL while NATURALGAS Oct-24 contract was down by 5.96% to Rs. 202 per MMBTU.
Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1104.13 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 1223.54 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL Oct-24 contract was down by 0.21% to Rs. 922 per kg and COTTONCNDY Nov-24 contract was down by 0.46% to Rs. 56100 per candy.
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 48015.07 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 1159.24 crores.
Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.5800 was down by 56.65% to Rs. 164.00 with volume of 49452 lots & OI of 13611 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.5800 was up by 88.23% to Rs. 273.5 with volume of 38416 lots & OI of 7865 lots.
Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.300 was down by 31.71% to Rs. 4.20 with volume of 4804 lots & OI of 3259 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.220 was up by 21.98% to Rs. 5.55 with volume of 6126 lots & OI of 2815 lots.
Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.80000 was down by 14.91% to Rs. 670.50 with volume of 464 lots & OI of 408 lots, while Gold Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.77000 was up by 10.7% to Rs. 807 with volume of 487 lots & OI of 483 lots.
Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.105000 was down by 8.09% to Rs. 1289.50 with volume of 702 lots & OI of 1134 lots, while Silver Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.96000 was up by 9.9% to Rs. 3348 with volume of 259 lots & OI of 219 lots.
