Mumbai, Oct 23, MCX GOLD futures gains by 0.09% while SILVER futures drops by 0.69%: CRUDEOIL futures drops by 1.85%.
According to a statement issued by MCX DAILY MARKET Indias leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.34959.23 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 23 October 2024 till 4:30 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 10471.47 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 24485.77 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Oct-24 futures was reached at 19848 point.
Commodity Future Contracts: Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 6686.66 crores. GOLD Dec-24 contract was up by 0.09% to Rs. 78726 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Oct-24 contract was up by 0.09% to Rs. 63304 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Oct-24 contract was down by 0.14% to Rs. 7703 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Oct-24 contract was up by 0.11% to Rs. 78325 per 10 gram.
SILVER Dec-24 contract was down by 0.69% to Rs. 99280 per kg, while SILVERM Nov-24 contract was down by 0.66% to Rs. 99022 per kg and SILVERMIC Nov-24 contract was down by 0.64% to Rs. 99040 per kg.
Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2220.42 crores with volume of 2818 lots and OI of 17894 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2150.85 crores with volume of 7190 lots and OI of 29798 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 2402.38 crores. COPPER Oct-24 contract was down by 1.43% to Rs. 807.15 per kg and ZINC Oct-24 contract was down by 0.54% to Rs. 288.05 per kg while ALUMINIUM Oct-24 contract was up by 0.02% to Rs. 239.6 per kg and LEAD Oct-24 contract was down by 0.5% to Rs. 180.4 per kg.
Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1373.53 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 289.40 crores, Lead futures Rs. 33.61 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 497.76 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 1453.56 crores. CRUDEOIL Nov-24 contract was down by 1.85% to Rs. 5928 per BBL while NATURALGAS Oct-24 contract was down by 1.49% to Rs. 191.8 per MMBTU.
Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 479.14 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 796.02 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL Oct-24 contract was up by 1.09% to Rs. 910 per kg and COTTONCNDY Nov-24 contract was down by 0.63% to Rs. 56910 per candy.
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 24485.77 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 642.72 crores.
Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.6100 was down by 20.51% to Rs. 186.00 with volume of 16925 lots & OI of 7680 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.6000 was up by 21.55% to Rs. 291 with volume of 26168 lots & OI of 5391 lots.
Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Oct-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.195 was down by 27.66% to Rs. 3.40 with volume of 32720 lots & OI of 10748 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Oct-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.195 was up by 33% to Rs. 6.65 with volume of 21010 lots & OI of 5212 lots.
Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.80000 was up by 4.51% to Rs. 926.00 with volume of 267 lots & OI of 167 lots, while Gold Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.75000 was up by 6.9% to Rs. 310 with volume of 371 lots & OI of 996 lots.
Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.100000 was down by 10.82% to Rs. 3604.50 with volume of 919 lots & OI of 1488 lots, while Silver Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.95000 was up by 4.2% to Rs. 1935.5 with volume of 434 lots & OI of 511 lots.
