Mumbai, Oct 11, MCX GOLD futures gains by 0.85% and SILVER futures gains by 0.72%, while CRUDEOIL futures drops by 1.06%.
According to a statement issued by MCX DAILY MARKET Indias leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.70949.9 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 11 October 2024 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 9765.89 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 61181.93 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Oct-24 futures was reached at 18858 point.
Commodity Future Contracts: Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 5814.51 crores. GOLD Dec-24 contract was up by 0.85% to Rs. 75934 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Oct-24 contract was up by 0.65% to Rs. 61000 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Oct-24 contract was up by 0.64% to Rs. 7439 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Oct-24 contract was up by 0.78% to Rs. 75419 per 10 gram.
SILVER Dec-24 contract was up by 0.72% to Rs. 90950 per kg, while SILVERM Nov-24 contract was up by 0.74% to Rs. 90880 per kg and SILVERMIC Nov-24 contract was up by 0.72% to Rs. 90864 per kg.
Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2463.97 crores with volume of 3248 lots and OI of 15740 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1406.14 crores with volume of 5152 lots and OI of 30439 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 2174.16 crores. COPPER Oct-24 contract was up by 0.46% to Rs. 836.15 per kg and ZINC Oct-24 contract was up by 1.36% to Rs. 286.6 per kg while ALUMINIUM Oct-24 contract was up by 2.13% to Rs. 242.55 per kg and LEAD Oct-24 contract was up by 0.93% to Rs. 183.9 per kg.
Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1264.55 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 303.51 crores, Lead futures Rs. 48.16 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 363.81 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 1805.70 crores. CRUDEOIL Oct-24 contract was down by 1.06% to Rs. 6326 per BBL while NATURALGAS Oct-24 contract was up by 0.94% to Rs. 226.2 per MMBTU.
Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 739.50 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 837.24 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL Oct-24 contract was up by 0.15% to Rs. 925 per kg and COTTONCNDY Nov-24 contract was down by 0.23% to Rs. 56820 per candy.
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 61181.93 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 1272.35 crores.
Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Oct-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.6500 was down by 25.88% to Rs. 131.20 with volume of 37868 lots & OI of 8122 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Oct-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.6300 was up by 4.67% to Rs. 174.8 with volume of 74021 lots & OI of 10690 lots.
Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Oct-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.220 was up by 6.08% to Rs. 13.95 with volume of 10950 lots & OI of 3200 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Oct-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.230 was down by 6.87% to Rs. 13.55 with volume of 9800 lots & OI of 4413 lots.
Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.76000 was up by 27.44% to Rs. 1370.00 with volume of 544 lots & OI of 560 lots, while Gold Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.74000 was down by 22.23% to Rs. 600 with volume of 475 lots & OI of 850 lots.
Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.90000 was up by 8.56% to Rs. 3882.50 with volume of 454 lots & OI of 957 lots, while Silver Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.85000 was down by 8.96% to Rs. 1066.5 with volume of 218 lots & OI of 937 lots.
