Mumbai, Oct 31, MCX records turnover of Rs.8549.25 crores in Commodity Futures & Rs.42836.78 crores in Options, Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Nov-24 futures was reached at 19795 point.
According to a statement issued by MCX DAILY MARKET today, Indias leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.51387.71 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 31 October 2024 till 5:30 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 8549.25 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 42836.78 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Nov-24 futures was reached at 19795 point.
Commodity Future Contracts: Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 5406.76 crores. GOLD Dec-24 contract was down by 0.34% to Rs. 79467 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Oct-24 contract was up by 0.03% to Rs. 64100 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Oct-24 contract was up by 0.14% to Rs. 7930 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Oct-24 contract was down by 0.03% to Rs. 79234 per 10 gram.
SILVER Dec-24 contract was down by 0.72% to Rs. 97039 per kg, while SILVERM Nov-24 contract was down by 0.71% to Rs. 96837 per kg and SILVERMIC Nov-24 contract was down by 0.71% to Rs. 96825 per kg.
Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1407.84 crores with volume of 1769 lots and OI of 18889 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1973.61 crores with volume of 6773 lots and OI of 25559 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 1437.18 crores. COPPER Oct-24 contract was up by 1.59% to Rs. 816.5 per kg and ZINC Oct-24 contract was up by 0.47% to Rs. 290.95 per kg while ALUMINIUM Oct-24 contract was down by 0.04% to Rs. 241.5 per kg and LEAD Nov-24 without any changes 180.05 per kg.
Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 782.35 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 76.37 crores, Lead futures Rs. 20.16 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 401.48 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 1700.21 crores. CRUDEOIL Nov-24 contract was up by 0.94% to Rs. 5818 per BBL while NATURALGAS Nov-24 contract was down by 1.29% to Rs. 236.7 per MMBTU.
Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 612.83 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 865.28 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL Oct-24 contract was up by 0.32% to Rs. 935 per kg and COTTONCNDY Nov-24 contract was down by 0.41% to Rs. 55700 per candy.
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 42836.78 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 1015.12 crores.
Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.5800 was up by 17.44% to Rs. 182.50 with volume of 80483 lots & OI of 13986 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.5800 was down by 13.45% to Rs. 168 with volume of 69891 lots & OI of 11457 lots.
Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.240 was down by 9.7% to Rs. 13.50 with volume of 12851 lots & OI of 6983 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.235 was up by 10.24% to Rs. 14 with volume of 7946 lots & OI of 1726 lots.
Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.80000 was down by 12.74% to Rs. 1051.00 with volume of 426 lots & OI of 373 lots, while Gold Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.78000 was up by 9.49% to Rs. 715 with volume of 556 lots & OI of 938 lots.
Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.98000 was down by 11.7% to Rs. 3030.00 with volume of 518 lots & OI of 619 lots, while Silver Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.97000 was up by 8.79% to Rs. 3408.5 with volume of 367 lots & OI of 285 lots.
