According to a press release issued by National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) company here today, There are 12 stations planned Mumbai, Thane, Virar, Boisar, Vapi, Bilimora, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand, Ahmedabad, Sabarmati.
Status (As on 18th April 2025);
♦️ Viaduct construction: 293 km
♦️ Pier works: 375 km
♦️ Pier Foundation: 394 km
♦️ Girder Casting: 320 km
♦️ Bridges on 14 rivers completed, viz. Par (Valsad district), Purna (Navsari district), Mindhola (Navsari district), Ambika (Navsari district), Auranga (Valsad district), Venganiya (Navsari district), Mohar (Kheda district), Dhadhar (Vadodara district), Kolak River (Valsad district), Vatrak River (Kheda district), Kaveri River (Navsari district), Kharera (Navsari district), Meshwa (Kheda district) and Kim (Surat district)
♦️ Seven steel bridges and five PSC (pre stressed concrete) bridges have been completed
♦️ Installation of noise barriers on viaduct is underway in Gujarat. Around 3 lakh noise barriers have been installed along 150 km of stretch
♦️ Progress of around 143 km of track bed construction has been achieved so far in Gujarat. Welding of rails on the viaduct to form long panels of 200 m length is also underway
♦️ Installation of overhead equipment masts (OHE) is underway in Gujarat. More than 100 OHE masts have been installed between Surat- Bilimora Bullet Train stations which cover approx. 2 km of the mainline viaduct
• The work on 21 km tunnel between BKC and Shilphata in Maharashtra is under construction. Approx. 3.3 km tunnel heading has been achieved cumulatively from Shilphata and two concurrent faces from ADIT portal through the New Austrian Tunneling method (NATM). Both Vikhroli and Sawli shafts have reached required depths of 56 meters and 39 meters respectively
• Seven mountain tunnels are under construction in Palghar district, Maharashtra through NATM
• Structural work is completed for six out of eight stations in Gujarat
• Work has started on all three elevated stations. Base slab at Mumbai Bullet Train station is being cast in Maharashtra for which approx. 75% excavation work (i.e., 14 lakhs cubic meter) has been completed. A total of 1872263 m3 earthwork is required to be excavated from this site. Base slab will form the deepest construction level for the Bullet Train station. Approx. 200,000 cu.m. concrete will be poured only for base slab casting. So, far 25,000 cu.m. concrete has already been poured. Each base slab casting required 3000 to 4000 cubic meters of concrete at controlled temperatures, which is being produced by in-situ batching plants and chiller plants. 100% secant piling (3384 nos.) work has already been completed for the site.
