Gandhinagar, Gujarat, May 28, Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Indian Air Force’s South Western Air Command, paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar.
Air Marshal Shri Nagesh Kapoor recently assumed charge as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief at the South Western Air Command headquarters in Gandhinagar.
He has served in various positions in the Indian Air Force, he was appointed as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the South Western Air Command on May 1, 2025.
Air Marshal Shri Nagesh Kapoor joined the Indian Air Force in 1986 and, over a distinguished career spanning 38 years, has amassed over 3,400 hours of flying experience on various fighter and training aircraft, including the MiG-21 and MiG-23.
In recognition of his exemplary service, he has been honoured with the Vayu Sena Medal in 2008, the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal in 2022, and the Param Vishisht Seva Medal in 2025.
During this courtesy meeting, Air Marshal Shri Nagesh Kapoor presented a memento to Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel on behalf of the Indian Air Force.
