Mumbai, Nov 14, On MCX GOLD futures drops by 1.25% and SILVER futures drops by 2.3%, while CRUDEOIL futures gains by 0.17%.
According to a statement issued by MCX here today India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.118213.72 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 14 November 2024 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 17183.15 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 101027.91 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Nov-24 futures was reached at 18248 point.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 13135.46 crores. GOLD Dec-24 contract was down by 1.25% to Rs. 73550 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Nov-24 contract was down by 0.99% to Rs. 60140 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Nov-24 contract was down by 1.2% to Rs. 7484 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Dec-24 contract was down by 1.28% to Rs. 73559 per 10 gram.
SILVER Dec-24 contract was down by 2.3% to Rs. 87144 per kg, while SILVERM Nov-24 contract was down by 2.28% to Rs. 87046 per kg and SILVERMIC Nov-24 contract was down by 2.26% to Rs. 87048 per kg.
Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 5484.93 crores with volume of 7436 lots and OI of 16882 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 3951.35 crores with volume of 14952 lots and OI of 34732 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 2256.76 crores. COPPER Nov-24 contract was down by 1.68% to Rs. 786.5 per kg and ZINC Nov-24 contract was down by 1.93% to Rs. 271.85 per kg while ALUMINIUM Nov-24 contract was down by 0.89% to Rs. 233.95 per kg and LEAD Nov-24 contract was down by 1.39% to Rs. 177.85 per kg.
Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1301.96 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 254.63 crores, Lead futures Rs. 37.12 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 462.91 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 1782.82 crores. CRUDEOIL Nov-24 contract was up by 0.17% to Rs. 5806 per BBL while NATURALGAS Nov-24 contract was down by 0.48% to Rs. 249.4 per MMBTU.
Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1074.39 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 541.43 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL Nov-24 contract was up by 1.9% to Rs. 933 per kg and COTTONCNDY Nov-24 contract was down by 0.14% to Rs. 55300 per candy.
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 101027.91 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 960.48 crores.
Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.5800 was up by 7.22% to Rs. 65.30 with volume of 176863 lots & OI of 23148 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.5800 was down by 11.67% to Rs. 57.5 with volume of 128927 lots & OI of 17971 lots.
Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.250 was down by 4.98% to Rs. 10.50 with volume of 11482 lots & OI of 9187 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.250 was up by 6.6% to Rs. 11.3 with volume of 11302 lots & OI of 5581 lots.
Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.75000 was down by 43.71% to Rs. 244.00 with volume of 3150 lots & OI of 1566 lots, while Gold Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.74000 was up by 115.23% to Rs. 925.5 with volume of 3497 lots & OI of 1882 lots.
Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.90000 was down by 36.39% to Rs. 753.50 with volume of 2940 lots & OI of 1682 lots, while Silver Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.85000 was up by 211.28% to Rs. 800 with volume of 1594 lots & OI of 753 lots.
