Bengaluru, Karnataka, Sep 01 (VNI): Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), has announced the launch of its new ice cream brand, Bombay Creamery, marking its dedicated entry into India’s growing ice cream market.
According to RIL, Bombay Creamery is backed by RCPL’s national distribution network, retail scale and consumer insights, reflecting the company’s long-term commitment to the ice cream category. The portfolio is built around the promise of authentic dairy ingredients and a quality experience, with the products made using real dairy cream.
T Krishnakumar, Director, Reliance Consumer Products Limited, said the brand has been developed around the idea that dairy products should not require shortcuts. He said RCPL is not merely entering the ice cream category but is making a long-term commitment to it, with Bombay Creamery offering genuine ice cream made with real dairy cream at prices affordable to Indian consumers.
The Bombay Creamery range includes ice creams in popular formats such as cones, cups, tubs, bars and sticks. Prices start at Rs 10, while the products will initially be available across Western India.
The company said Bombay Creamery will subsequently be rolled out across the country, expanding its presence in India’s competitive ice cream market.
