~Reliance Foundation Scholarships 2026-27 applications open for 5,100 students, offering up to ₹2 lakh for undergraduate and ₹6 lakh for postgraduate studies.

Mumbai, Maharashtra, Aug 14 (VNI): On the eve of India’s Independence Day, Reliance Foundation announced the opening of applications for its flagship Reliance Foundation Scholarships 2026-27, reaffirming its commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders, innovators and changemakers contributing to India’s growth story.
According to the company, education has the power to transform lives, strengthen communities and build nations. The Reliance Foundation Scholarships have been supporting exceptional young talent across the country, enabling students to pursue higher education while providing opportunities for mentorship, leadership development and professional growth.
Reliance has been providing scholarships for more than three decades. In December 2022, on the 90th birth anniversary of Reliance Founder-Chairman Dhirubhai Ambani, Nita M Ambani, Founder and Chairperson, Reliance Foundation, announced an additional commitment of 50,000 scholarships over 10 years. Till date, Reliance has awarded more than 33,000 scholarships. Last year, 5,100 selected scholars came from 1,350 institutions across 27 states and seven Union Territories.
The Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships support 5,000 meritorious students every year through a merit-cum-means selection process. Selected undergraduate students can receive scholarships of up to ₹2 lakh over the duration of their programme. The Reliance Foundation Postgraduate Scholarships recognise 100 exceptional students annually pursuing future-ready disciplines including Engineering, Technology, Energy and Life Sciences, with selected postgraduate students eligible for scholarships of up to ₹6 lakh.
Beyond financial assistance, the scholarships offer a holistic development journey featuring mentorship, leadership development programmes, networking opportunities, interactions with industry experts and participation in a vibrant scholar community. Undergraduate applicants will undergo an aptitude assessment along with evaluation of their financial background, while postgraduate applicants will be assessed on academic merit, aptitude and other selection parameters. There is no fee at any stage of the application process.
Reliance Foundation said its scholars have gone on to make their mark in technology, healthcare, research, academia, entrepreneurship and public leadership. The Foundation is looking forward to welcoming another cohort of young minds whose ideas, innovations and leadership can contribute to shaping the India of tomorrow.
