Mumbai, Sep 23, MCX GOLD futures gains by 0.22% and SILVER futures drops by 1.21%, while CRUDEOIL futures drops by 0.05%.
According to a statement issued by MCX DAILY MARKET REPORT here today Indias leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.61005.72 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 23 September 2024 till 4:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 16627.21 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 44368.57 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Sep-24 futures was reached at 18550 point.
Commodity Future Contracts: Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 12101.30 crores. GOLD Oct-24 contract was up by 0.22% to Rs. 74201 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Sep-24 contract was up by 0.04% to Rs. 59700 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Sep-24 contract was down by 0.04% to Rs. 7244 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Oct-24 contract was up by 0.17% to Rs. 74102 per 10 gram.
SILVER Dec-24 contract was down by 1.21% to Rs. 89048 per kg, while SILVERM Nov-24 contract was down by 1.2% to Rs. 88989 per kg and SILVERMIC Nov-24 contract was down by 1.21% to Rs. 88970 per kg.
Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 6094.09 crores with volume of 8188 lots and OI of 23598 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 3128.96 crores with volume of 11686 lots and OI of 26602 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 2874.79 crores. COPPER Sep-24 contract was down by 0.2% to Rs. 807.85 per kg and ZINC Sep-24 contract was up by 0.21% to Rs. 266.05 per kg while ALUMINIUM Sep-24 contract was up by 0.59% to Rs. 228.25 per kg and LEAD Sep-24 contract was down by 1.23% to Rs. 180.9 per kg.
Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2048.88 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 247.53 crores, Lead futures Rs. 66.07 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 371.00 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 1655.06 crores. CRUDEOIL Oct-24 contract was down by 0.05% to Rs. 5972 per BBL while NATURALGAS Sep-24 contract was up by 1.63% to Rs. 206 per MMBTU.
Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 350.51 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 1145.59 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL Sep-24 contract was down by 0.83% to Rs. 921 per kg and COTTONCNDY Sep-24 contract was down by 0.22% to Rs. 58300 per candy.
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 44368.57 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 620.08 crores.
Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Oct-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.6000 was up by 2.29% to Rs. 188.00 with volume of 43624 lots & OI of 16122 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Oct-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.5900 was up by 1.55% to Rs. 170.4 with volume of 23182 lots & OI of 8868 lots.
Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Sep-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.210 was down by 28.57% to Rs. 0.50 with volume of 43650 lots & OI of 11960 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Sep-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.200 was down by 78.95% to Rs. 0.4 with volume of 40037 lots & OI of 11958 lots.
Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Sep-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.75000 was up by 24.83% to Rs. 90.50 with volume of 2817 lots & OI of 1371 lots, while Gold Put Option Sep-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.74000 was down by 25.74% to Rs. 225 with volume of 3650 lots & OI of 1084 lots.
Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.90000 was down by 10.81% to Rs. 3341.50 with volume of 962 lots & OI of 1105 lots, while Silver Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.85000 was up by 22.03% to Rs. 1800 with volume of 348 lots & OI of 742 lots.
