Ahmedabad, Gujarat, July 14 (VNI): Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport, Ahmedabad, has achieved the prestigious Airports Council International (ACI) Level 5 Accreditation in Airport Customer Experience, becoming the third airport in India to receive the highest global recognition for customer experience excellence.

Operated by Adani Airport Holdings Limited, a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises Ltd., SVPI Airport advanced from Level 4 Accreditation, which it received in June 2025. The achievement places the airport among a select group of airports worldwide recognised for delivering exceptional, passenger-centric services through continuous innovation, strategic planning and operational excellence.
According to the airport’s official release, the ACI accreditation evaluates airports across key areas such as customer understanding, service strategy, performance measurement, governance, airport culture, innovation, service design and collaboration among airport stakeholders. Over the past year, SVPI Airport has significantly strengthened its customer experience framework through digital transformation, enhanced passenger engagement, employee development and infrastructure improvements.
Major initiatives contributing to the Level 5 accreditation include the launch of a 24×7 AI-powered call centre, expansion of digital services through the Adani One App, biometric immigration kiosks, smart feedback systems, upgraded lounges, improved accessibility facilities, and expanded Terminal-2 entry and exit lanes to improve passenger flow. The airport also enhanced retail and dining offerings, including the opening of Maison Twenty Seven by Bastian, one of Gujarat’s largest restaurants, along with new food courts and gourmet dining options.
SVPI Airport has also focused on promoting Gujarat’s cultural identity through festive and experiential initiatives while strengthening employee engagement and stakeholder collaboration. The airport said the Level 5 accreditation reflects its commitment to placing passengers at the centre of every decision and setting new benchmarks for customer experience in India’s aviation sector.
