~True Green Bio Energy reported Q2 FY27 net profit of ₹18.02 crore and EBITDA of ₹31.11 crore, with plans for a ₹145 crore ethanol capacity expansion.
Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Nov 04 (VNI) : True Green Bio Energy Limited (TGBEL), a Chiripal Group company, reported a standalone net profit of ₹18.02 crore and EBITDA of ₹31.11 crore for the second quarter of FY27. The company recorded net revenue of ₹234.55 crore during the quarter.
According to the company, TGBEL operates a grain-based ethanol manufacturing plant at Changodar, Ahmedabad, which commenced commercial production in October 2025. The facility has an installed capacity of 300 Kilo Litres Per Day (KLPD) and is currently operating at more than 85-90% capacity utilisation. The plant uses waste and damaged grains, including broken rice and maize, to manufacture fuel-grade ethanol and by-products such as distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS).
The company plans to expand its manufacturing capacity by adding another 150 KLPD through a brownfield expansion project involving an estimated investment of ₹145 crore. The proposal has been submitted to existing lenders for consideration. The proposed expansion is aimed at increasing ethanol production capacity and strengthening the company’s presence in the biofuel sector.
Commenting on the company’s performance and expansion plans, Jyotiprasad Chiripal, Chairman and Director of True Green Bio Energy Limited, said the commencement of commercial production at the Changodar facility marked an important milestone in the company’s entry into ethanol manufacturing. He added that TGBEL is focused on strengthening production and supplies to oil marketing companies, while its proposed expansion would help build additional capacity and reinforce its position in the ethanol sector.
Chiripal further stated that efficient production, feedstock management and reliable supplies to oil marketing companies would be crucial for sustainable growth in the ethanol industry. He expressed confidence that grain-based ethanol would continue to play a significant role in India’s biofuel programme.
