Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Aug 06 (VNI): The 2026 edition of the Travel & Tourism Fair (TTF) Ahmedabad commenced on Thursday at the Mahatma Mandir Convention & Exhibition Centre in Gandhinagar, reaffirming Western India’s position as one of the country’s leading domestic and outbound travel markets. Organised by Fairfest Media, the three-day B2B exhibition from August 6 to 8 has brought together tourism boards, travel companies, hospitality brands, airlines, destination management companies, attractions and travel technology providers from India and abroad.
The event was inaugurated by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, he said that TTF has played a significant role in strengthening Gujarat’s tourism ecosystem over the past two decades by promoting destinations, enhancing business partnerships and connecting stakeholders across the tourism sector. He added that with the Gujarat Government declaring 2026 as the Year of Tourism, the exhibition will further help showcase the state’s tourism potential to a global audience.
The inauguration was attended by several dignitaries, including Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, Uttarakhand Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj, Goa Tourism Minister Rohan A. Khaunte, Gujarat Tourism Secretary Kuldeep Arya (IAS), Tourism Commissioner Dr. Vipin Garg (IAS), and Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Limited Joint Managing Director Y. S. Chaudhari (IAS).
TTF Ahmedabad 2026 features more than 900 exhibitors from 10 countries, with Israel as the Featured Country. Gujarat Tourism is participating as the Host State, while leading tourism boards from Goa, Uttarakhand, Odisha, Rajasthan, Kerala, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka and several other states are showcasing their destinations.
A large number of private exhibitors, including hospitality groups, tour operators, travel technology firms and visa service providers, are also participating. The event is supported by several national and regional travel associations, reflecting broad industry participation and strengthening opportunities for networking and business collaborations.
Fairfest Media Chairman and CEO Sanjiv Agarwal said Gujarat’s strong economy, rising disposable incomes and travel-oriented population have made TTF Ahmedabad the largest exhibition in the TTF series. He noted that the event provides tourism boards and travel brands with direct access to one of India’s most commercially active travel markets ahead of the festive and winter travel season.
Ahmedabad’s growing importance as a travel hub is reflected in the increasing passenger traffic at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, which handled over 1.38 crore passengers during FY 2025–26, including 1.14 crore domestic and 24 lakh international travellers. With its strong focus on B2B networking, destination promotion and business development, TTF Ahmedabad 2026 is expected to further boost tourism and travel business across Western India.
