Torrent Power Reports Strong Q2 FY27 Performance, Revenue Rises 24% to ₹9,801 Crore

~Torrent Power reports 24% revenue growth to ₹9,801 crore and 26% EBITDA growth to ₹1,988 crore in Q2 FY27, driven by distribution and renewable energy businesses.
Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Nov 04 (VNI) : Torrent Power Limited has announced its financial results for the quarter and half year ended September 30, 2026, reporting strong growth in revenue, EBITDA and operational performance.
According to the company, revenue from operations increased 24% to ₹9,801 crore in Q2 FY27, compared to ₹7,876 crore in Q2 FY26. For the first half of FY27, revenue rose 14% to ₹17,926 crore, against ₹15,782 crore in the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
EBITDA for Q2 FY27 grew 26% to ₹1,988 crore, compared to ₹1,584 crore in Q2 FY26. For H1 FY27, EBITDA increased 14% to ₹3,606 crore, against ₹3,171 crore in H1 FY26. Total Comprehensive Income (TCI) for the quarter rose 14% to ₹835 crore, compared to ₹730 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. H1 FY27 TCI stood at ₹1,474 crore, against ₹1,469 crore in H1 FY26.
The company delivered strong operational performance during the quarter, with adjusted EBITDA growing 29%, driven by robust performance across its distribution and renewable energy businesses, along with the consolidation of the Nabha acquisition. Adjusted EBITDA includes ₹54 crore of principal recovery relating to the Nabha acquisition, recognised in the balance sheet in accordance with applicable lease accounting principles.
Torrent Power reported an incremental TCI of ₹105 crore during the quarter, primarily supported by improved operational performance across its distribution businesses, stronger performance of its renewable energy portfolio due to higher plant load factors and contributions from commissioned projects, as well as increased contribution from the Nabha acquisition. The company also reported higher finance costs due to increased borrowings.
