Mumbai, Maharashtra, July 15 (VNI): Isha Ambani joined more than 100 children from non-governmental organisations supported by Reliance Foundation at the special opening of ‘Emotions Lab’, an immersive learning experience developed by the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC), Reliance Foundation, and Dadu, Children’s Museum of Qatar.
The exhibition aims to help children recognise, understand and express emotions through interactive, play-based experiences.
According to an official Reliance Foundation release, the exhibition was launched as part of NMACC’s annual Bachpan Festival and is designed for children aged 5 to 11 years and their families. During the launch, Isha Ambani interacted with the children as they explored immersive exhibits focused on emotional literacy and social-emotional development in a safe and engaging environment.
Speaking on the occasion, Isha Ambani, Director of Reliance Foundation, said learning should be driven by curiosity and playfulness. She noted that emotional literacy and emotional intelligence are essential life skills that children should develop from an early age. She added that the exhibition aligns with the Foundation’s Education and Sports for All (ESA) initiative, which seeks to make quality educational experiences accessible to every child.
The exhibition is built around the Mood Meter, a tool developed by the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence as part of its RULER approach. Through interactive activities, children learn five core emotional intelligence skills—recognising, understanding, labelling, expressing and regulating emotions. Participants also joined guided explorations and an NMACC Art Walk that encouraged creativity, observation and self-expression.
Developed in collaboration with education experts from India and abroad, ‘Emotions Lab’ is the second exhibition under the Museum in Residence series, following the success of Light Atelier in 2025, which engaged over 13,000 children. After its run at NMACC, the exhibition will be adapted for schools and Anganwadis across India, with a focus on underserved communities. The exhibition is open to the public at NMACC until August 2, 2026.
