~AESL has achieved the highest ESG score globally in the Utilities sector with a score of 90, according to S&P Global’s latest MSA review.

Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Sep 01 (VNI): Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL), India’s largest private-sector transmission and distribution company, has achieved the distinction of being the highest ESG-scored company globally in the Utilities sector, according to the latest Media and Stakeholder Analysis (MSA) review conducted by S&P Global.
Following the review, a governance-related assessment that had previously affected the company’s score was corrected, resulting in a significant improvement in AESL’s ESG standing. The company’s ESG Score has increased to 90 out of 100, placing it at the top of the global utilities sector, compared with the industry average of 41. Prior to the review, AESL’s score stood at 81. Its disclosure-based Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) score also increased by 17 points year-on-year to 90.
AESL recorded strong performance across all three ESG dimensions, with Environmental scoring 93, Social 89, and Governance & Economic 84, significantly above industry averages. Key contributors to the company’s performance include Product Stewardship, Climate Strategy and Human Capital Management.
