~J&K Tourism inaugurates its relocated Tourist Office in Ahmedabad to strengthen tourism outreach, trade engagement and year-round promotion of Jammu & Kashmir.
Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Aug 08 (VNI): The Department of Tourism, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, inaugurated its relocated Tourist Office at Navrangpura in Ahmedabad, strengthening its tourism outreach and engagement with stakeholders in Gujarat and the western region.
The office was formally inaugurated by Rashim Deepika, Director (Finance), Department of Tourism, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, in the presence of Savita Chauhan, Deputy Director Tourism, Jammu, and Peer Zahid Ahmad, Deputy Director Tourism, Kashmir. The ceremony was attended by a large number of tourism stakeholders, including travel trade representatives, tour operators, hoteliers, travel agents and other industry partners.
Members of the print, electronic and vernacular media, along with travel bloggers and content creators, also participated in the event, reflecting the growing interest in promoting Jammu & Kashmir as a premier tourism destination. The dignitaries highlighted the Department’s commitment to expanding its outreach in Gujarat and developing stronger ties with the local travel trade.
The relocated office is expected to function as an important facilitation centre for tourists, tourism industry partners and promotional activities. The gathering also provided an opportunity for the Department’s officials and tourism stakeholders to discuss collaborative initiatives aimed at promoting year-round tourism to Jammu & Kashmir and strengthening tourism linkages between Gujarat and the Union Territory.
Delivering the vote of thanks, Ankush Soni, Officer In-Charge, Tourist Office, Ahmedabad, expressed gratitude to the Director Tourism, Kashmir, for his leadership and continued guidance in making the relocation of the office possible. He also thanked Rashim Deepika, Savita Chauhan, Peer Zahid Ahmad, tourism stakeholders, media representatives, bloggers and other distinguished guests for their support and participation. The event concluded with refreshments and informal interaction among dignitaries, media representatives and tourism stakeholders.
