Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Oct 30 (VNI): Chhattisgarh Tourism, in association with FICCI as its Industry Partner, organised the Chhattisgarh Tourism Roadshow in Ahmedabad on Friday to showcase the state’s diverse tourism potential and promote its attractions among Gujarat’s travel and tourism industry stakeholders.
The roadshow highlighted Chhattisgarh’s rich heritage, vibrant art and culture, eco-tourism, wildlife, spectacular waterfalls and unique travel experiences. The initiative also aimed to strengthen engagement with Ahmedabad’s travel trade fraternity and create new opportunities for tourism partnerships.
Chhattisgarh offers a diverse range of natural, cultural and heritage attractions, including dense forests, cascading waterfalls, ancient temples, archaeological sites, wildlife reserves, traditional handicrafts and village homestays. Destinations such as Bastar and Chitrakote, along with limestone caves and trekking trails, offer opportunities for nature-based, adventure, spiritual and experiential tourism. The state’s distinctive tribal traditions and vibrant local culture further enhance its appeal among travellers seeking authentic experiences.
Neelu Sharma, Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, said, “Chhattisgarh’s natural landscapes, rich biodiversity and cultural traditions offer unique experiences for travellers. We encourage visitors and tour operators to explore the state’s diverse destinations and help bring its tourism potential to a wider audience.”

Saumil Ranjan Chaubey (IAS), Managing Director, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, said the roadshow provided an opportunity to connect with travel professionals, showcase the state’s varied tourism offerings and develop new partnerships. He added that greater industry collaboration could help introduce Chhattisgarh’s emerging destinations to more domestic travellers.
Jaspreet Singh Bhatia, Chair, FICCI Chhattisgarh Tourism Committee and President, Chhattisgarh Travel Trade Association, said the roadshow created opportunities for travel agents and tourism stakeholders to collaborate in promoting Chhattisgarh. Stronger industry connections, he noted, could increase destination awareness and encourage the inclusion of the state in domestic travel itineraries.
The roadshow aimed to familiarise Gujarat’s travel trade with Chhattisgarh’s tourism offerings, encourage tour operators to develop travel itineraries featuring the state and facilitate new industry partnerships. Through its natural attractions, heritage, adventure opportunities and distinctive cultural experiences, Chhattisgarh seeks to position itself as an attractive destination for travellers interested in exploring lesser-known destinations across India.
